Pastor Channels lives in West Des Moines with his wife Amy who is a teacher at Waukee High School/Northwest High School. Daughter Erica is a student at Maple Grove in Waukee. He has served as an ordained minister in the CC(DOC) for over 20 years serving congregations in Indiana, Iowa, Missouri and Colorado. Most recently he has been helping congregations to fill their leadership gaps while searching for new pastors. Rev. Channels also works a full-time position as the Lead Trainer at Ex-Guard, a manufacturing company in Des Moines.

Pastor Julie Cornelius is a native Iowan and has a passion for calling on the sick and home bound.
Accompanist Sophia Ahmad
In addition to serving as Waukee Christian Church's Accompanist, Sophia teaches, performs, and promotes classical music in the Greater Des Moines Area. Sophia is also works for WesleyLife as the Vice President of Philanthropy leading the new WesleyLife Foundation.
